VP, AI Enablement

About the role

Trustly is seeking a strategic leader to architect and execute our internal AI roadmap. You will report to the CTO, managing the integration of AI systems across our global payment infrastructure and organizational workflows.

What you'll do

• Create and manage the company-wide AI strategy, ensuring it aligns with product and engineering goals.
• Recruit and manage a team of ML practitioners, platform engineers, and AI specialists.
• Oversee the implementation of LLMs, agentic frameworks, and orchestration tools into our core systems.
• Develop internal standards for model quality, cost control, safety, and governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments like finance, HR, and legal to implement AI-driven productivity improvements.
• Lead internal training, community building, and enablement initiatives to promote AI literacy and experimentation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of total experience in technology leadership.
• 3+ years of direct experience leading AI/ML infrastructure or enablement teams at scale.
• Technical expertise in RAG architectures, LLMs, and agentic frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in moving AI initiatives from pilot phases to production environments.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships in high-ambiguity settings.
• Experience working within regulated or high-reliability industries.
