About the role
Trustly is looking for a Senior Account Manager to lead growth and retention for our Pay portfolio, focusing on the UK and select pan-European accounts. You will manage strategic partnerships across sectors including retail, travel, public services, and billing. This position involves driving product adoption and expanding revenue through high-level stakeholder engagement.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage senior-level relationships for a portfolio of key clients.
- Serve as the main point of contact to ensure high client satisfaction.
- Identify and execute revenue expansion through upselling and cross-selling.
- Create and implement account plans that align with client goals and company strategy.
- Negotiate commercial contracts and renewals to secure long-term value.
- Promote the adoption of Trustly products to improve client performance.
- Analyze account data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Coordinate with internal departments like Product, Sales, and Compliance to deliver solutions.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes within the UK and EU payment landscapes.
- Represent the company at industry functions and provide strategic advice to clients.
Requirements
- Proven history of managing and growing enterprise or strategic accounts.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience in revenue growth and contract negotiation.
- Strong ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at a senior level.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems using data and logic.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Ownership mentality and a drive to achieve results.
Nice to have
- Experience with payments, open banking, or account-to-account (A2A) ecosystems.
- Background in the public sector, retail, travel, or billing industries.
