About the role

TrueML builds financial software designed to help distressed borrowers manage their obligations through digital, machine-learning-driven experiences. As a Senior Engineer on the Consumer Payment Portal team, you will build the interfaces and backend systems that allow users to resolve debt with dignity.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with UX and Payments teams to build accessible, low-friction web interfaces for consumer payments.
• Design and implement new payment workflows, such as flexible scheduling and alternative payment methods.
• Manage the full lifecycle of complex features from initial product scoping through production delivery.
• Translate business goals into documented technical roadmaps and implementations.
• Write maintainable code for microservices and streaming architectures.
• Identify and resolve technical debt to improve system longevity.
• Mentor team members through pair programming and code reviews.
• Maintain system reliability through automated testing and participation in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with Golang and React.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, data modeling, and A/B testing.
• Ability to work autonomously on complex codebases.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional alignment.
