Agentic Enablement Engineer

About the role

TrueLayer is establishing a dedicated team to accelerate the adoption of AI agents across our engineering organization. You will build the infrastructure, tooling, and context required to enable autonomous agents to perform complex tasks, such as multi-repository changes and automated testing, with minimal human intervention.

What you'll do

• Manage system prompts, AGENTS.md files, and skill definitions as core infrastructure.
• Convert tribal knowledge into structured artifacts like runbooks, decision trees, and system maps.
• Develop and maintain internal libraries of testable, versioned agent capabilities.
• Create reusable templates and orchestration patterns to establish golden paths for agent workflows.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines for agent workloads by addressing latency through caching, parallelization, and test impact analysis.
• Build and maintain sandboxed, ephemeral development environments for agents.
• Implement evaluation suites, health metrics, and guardrails to monitor agent performance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, specifically in platform engineering, infrastructure, or developer experience.
• Proven track record of building and deploying AI agent workflows that perform autonomous tasks.
• Practical experience managing CI/CD pipelines and improving their performance.
• Familiarity with agent system design, including tool-use schemas, prompt engineering, and evaluation methods.
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, Docker, and containerization.
• Strong technical writing skills to document complex systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with agent orchestration frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen, or MCP servers.
• Familiarity with observability or evaluation tools such as LangSmith or Braintrust.
• Background in measuring engineering velocity and developer experience.
• Knowledge of LLM cost modeling, including token budget design and caching strategies.
• Experience with security or compliance in a regulated industry.
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities related to agentic systems.
