Senior Manager FP&A

About the role

Viator is seeking a finance leader to manage planning, forecasting, and cost governance for global operating expenses and headcount. This role focuses on modernizing financial operations through automation and AI to move away from manual spreadsheet work. You will act as a strategic partner to internal teams and will eventually hire and manage a dedicated analyst.

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary finance partner for Engineering, Product, Data, Marketing, Customer Care, Payments, and Supply functions.
• Lead annual planning and recurring forecast cycles for fixed costs and global headcount.
• Prepare financial reporting for executive leadership, Board meetings, and earnings calls.
• Manage the approval workflow for procurement, vendor contracts, and headcount requisitions.
• Maintain data integrity across financial systems and model potential risks.
• Transition manual reporting processes into automated, self-serve dashboards using AI and data tools.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in strategic finance or FP&A, preferably within tech or e-commerce.
• Proficiency with financial planning software such as Workday Financial Planning, Hyperion, or Essbase.
• Working knowledge of SQL and modern data tools including BigQuery, Python, and Apps Script.
• Proven track record of automating manual processes and improving financial workflows.
• Ability to communicate complex financial data to executive stakeholders.
• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Capability to work effectively in a global, remote-first environment.

Nice to have

• Experience analyzing two-sided marketplace dynamics, contingent labor economics, or multi-currency impacts.
