What you'll do

Construct and manage data pipelines for processing terabytes of information across systems like Snowflake, BigQuery, and Hive.

Develop and refine data models and datasets to serve analytics, data science, and machine learning initiatives.

Write production-grade Java and Python code for ingestion, event processing, and internal tools.

Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of streaming and batch processing systems.

Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and governance of enterprise data.

Collaborate with product, analytics, and data science teams to define project requirements and deliver solutions.

Requirements

Possess 4-5+ years of experience in data engineering or software development.

Demonstrate strong proficiency in both Java and Python for building production systems.

Proven experience designing and implementing complex ETL/ELT processes.

Skilled in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.

Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, BigQuery, or Snowflake.

Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.

Experience building RESTful services and working with event queue systems.

Familiarity with Linux and cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Strong analytical abilities and a commitment to writing clean, efficient code.

Demonstrate a high degree of self-direction, organization, and ownership.

Nice to have

Experience with stream processing frameworks like Flink or Spark Streaming.

Familiarity with task orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.

Exposure to technologies including GraphQL, React, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Postgres, Gradle, or BERT.

Experience with data governance practices and tools.

Interest in machine learning, data science, or GenAI applications.
