Tressler LLP is seeking a skilled Paralegal to join the Litigation Practice Group within our Orange County, California office. This position offers the chance to work on complex commercial defense matters, driving cases from initial intake through appeal. The role demands ownership of documents, filings, and comprehensive trial support. You will operate within state and federal court environments under the direction of senior attorneys. The position is structured as a hybrid role, requiring presence in our Orange County office. Compensation for this role is $85,000.00 annually, commensurate with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of litigation documentation. This includes orchestrating intake files and converting raw data into organized, comprehensive trial bundles. A significant portion of your work will involve drafting notices, motions, and appellate documents while rigorously tracking court rules and filing deadlines.

You will coordinate witness preparation, manage calendaring, and handle logistics with both courts and opposing counsel teams. A critical function involves summarizing medical records and discovery materials to provide clear support for attorney strategy. You will also manage eDiscovery responses, conduct privilege reviews, and oversee document production workflows.

Preparing for trials, mediations, and hearings is another core function. You will maintain current binders, exhibits, and all related case materials. Your support will be essential during settlement discussions and arbitration, producing clear and precise legal documentation. Finally, you will verify the accuracy of pleadings, service records, and all court filings before submission.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of direct experience assisting with trials. You possess a deep understanding of commercial defense litigation within both state and federal court systems. Your background includes assisting with trial preparation, the filing and service of pleadings, and the organization of complex documents and information.

You have demonstrated the ability to research case-related files and sources. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with attorneys, courts, and other involved parties. You must work comfortably under pressure, taking ownership of tasks while ensuring complex dockets progress efficiently.
