About the role

Tradeweb is seeking an AI/LLM Product Engineer to develop intelligent systems that convert user intent into structured trading workflows. You will operate at the intersection of large language models, data science, and electronic markets to build scalable, auditable decision-making tools.

What you'll do

• Architect the integration between conversational agents and external LLM APIs.
• Create prompt structures that translate natural language into specific system parameters and actions.
• Implement validation and confirmation flows to ensure outputs are accurate and auditable.
• Develop systems that map user instructions into structured data across diverse domains.
• Design evaluation frameworks to measure NLP performance and handle edge cases.
• Build engines that recommend optimized configurations based on real-time conditions and historical data.
• Establish feedback loops using post-trade analytics to refine system recommendations.
• Collaborate with quantitative teams to develop benchmarking models and ensure data governance.
• Enable conversational interfaces for complex dataset analysis and trend identification.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in applied AI or ML engineering.
• 2+ years of production experience working directly with large language models.
• Hands-on expertise in prompt engineering, tool use, structured output, and hallucination mitigation.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for agent layer and SDK development.
• Experience building production systems that convert unstructured language into structured, actionable outputs.
• Ability to manage technical workstreams from architecture to implementation in a regulated environment.

Nice to have

• Background in fintech, trading technology, or financial services.
• Knowledge of fixed income markets, execution analytics, or electronic trading workflows.
• Experience with transaction cost analysis or execution quality measurement.
• History of integrating AI/ML models with real-time market data.
• Experience developing optimization or recommendation systems using proprietary datasets.

• Salary range: $150,000 to $250,000 per year.
