About the role
This position involves managing the delivery of artificial intelligence and data product initiatives. You will oversee technical execution while also focusing on organizational adoption of these new solutions. The role requires balancing project timelines with the change management process.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for AI and data projects.
- Guide the execution of data and AI projects built on Databricks, coordinating technical teams.
- Apply data product management principles to define product scope, priorities, and roadmaps.
- Lead efforts to ensure the organization successfully adopts new AI-driven tools and workflows.
- Convert business goals into actionable project plans, milestones, and delivery schedules.
- Identify and address project risks, dependencies, and inter-team blockers.
- Communicate project status, roadmap progress, and executive updates to stakeholders.
- Align engineering, data science, and business stakeholders on project priorities.
- Support structured delivery and governance practices for AI and data programs.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in technical project or program management, particularly with AI or data projects.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and common AI project delivery methods.
- Familiarity with the Databricks platform and workflows for data and AI projects.
- Experience in data product management, including defining scope and prioritizing initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage organizational change and drive adoption of new technologies.
- Strong skills in managing stakeholders and communicating with both technical and business audiences.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or Prosci.
- Experience with agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Background in data governance or MLOps.
- Prior experience in consulting or professional services.
