QA Automation Engineer - UI & API

About the role

This position involves ensuring the quality of a significant product through automated testing of its user interface and application programming interfaces. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated test suites that identify and report defects before they impact users.

What you'll do

• Construct and update automated tests for the user interface using Java and JavaScript.
• Build, deploy, and run tests for APIs with Java Rest Assured.
• Execute automated test runs, pinpoint and document issues, and generate comprehensive test summaries.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated checks into the software delivery process.
• Contribute to the evolution of test automation frameworks and testing methodologies.
• Utilize knowledge of CRM platforms, such as Siebel, to enhance test coverage.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in automating UI and API testing with Java and JavaScript.
• Practical experience using Java Rest Assured for API test automation.
• Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• A solid understanding of test automation frameworks and established testing practices.
• Effective communication skills and a history of successful teamwork with developers and product managers.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with other testing tools including Selenium, Cypress, or Postman.
• Comfort working within Agile frameworks and cross-functional teams.
