Network Security Engineer - Aruba & HPE | Remote

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to architect, deploy, and safeguard enterprise networks. This position requires a blend of network engineering and security expertise to build resilient infrastructure and defend against contemporary cyber threats.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop, configure, and manage enterprise network systems utilizing Aruba and HPE hardware.
• Implement and oversee network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Monitor network activity and security alerts to detect and address potential threats.
• Perform network security evaluations and identify vulnerabilities.
• Design and enforce network segmentation, VLANs, and wireless security frameworks.
• Resolve network performance, connectivity, and security incidents.
• Create and maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and security protocols.
• Collaborate with IT and security departments to align network infrastructure with security standards.
• Assist with compliance initiatives related to network and IT security.
• Stay informed about evolving network security risks and Aruba/HPE platform advancements.

Requirements

• Substantial practical experience with Aruba networking and security products.
• Experience working with HP Enterprise (HPE) infrastructure.
• A strong foundation in IT security, including identifying and mitigating threats.
• Proficiency in network engineering, covering routing, switching, and wireless architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to implement network security best practices and controls.
• Capacity to independently troubleshoot complex network and security challenges.
• Effective documentation and communication abilities for team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as Aruba Certified, HPE certifications, Security+, or CCNA/CCNP Security.
• Experience with network access control (NAC) solutions.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and security monitoring platforms.
• Experience supporting compliance frameworks like PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
