Senior Strategic Direct Procurement Buyer

About the role

You will manage the procurement of devices for our global audio platform, focusing on building resilient supply chains and effective partnerships. This position requires close collaboration with our Asian Sourcing Hub and internal product teams to drive category strategies and manage global request for quotation processes.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies specifically for device procurement.
• Coordinate between the Düsseldorf headquarters and the Asia Sourcing Hub to ensure global operational alignment.
• Work with Product Development during the initial design phases to incorporate supplier expertise and technical trends.
• Perform market research and risk assessments to establish second-sourcing options and ensure business continuity.
• Execute global RfQ processes and manage the onboarding of new suppliers.
• Align goals across Engineering, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain departments.
• Analyze bills of materials and market data to support strategic purchasing decisions.

Requirements

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years in category management or strategic procurement, preferably in manufacturing or consumer electronics.
• Knowledge of EMS and ODM production processes and the international electronics market.
• Familiarity with the toy industry and its specific regulatory standards.
• Experience in managing single-source risks through component lifecycle management or stocking agreements.
• Professional proficiency in English and at least B2 level German.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 30 percent of the time.
