Commercial Insights Analyst DACH

About the role

This position serves as the analytical core for the Strategy and Business Operations DACH team, covering both wholesale and digital commerce. You will transform sales data into actionable insights to optimize trading across all regional channels and support strategic market decisions.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Analyze channel and account performance using sell-out data, including pricing evaluations, and provide commercial recommendations.
• Develop and manage a standardized framework to measure promotion success and ROI to guide scaling or termination decisions.
• Quantify the impact of business changes, such as website UX updates or point of sale adjustments, on sales performance.
• Assist with joint business planning, budgeting, and the preparation of annual retail key account negotiations.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional experience in commercial or business analytics, sales controlling, or e-commerce analytics.
• Strong grasp of retail and consumer goods metrics such as sell-out, margins, price elasticities, and promotion ROI.
• Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and Excel to structure and report on large datasets.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for sales teams, key account managers, and finance departments.
• Professional fluency in German and English.

• Experience defining data requirements for the development of new dashboards.
