About the role

Tomorrow.io is seeking a technical leader to design frameworks where artificial intelligence functions as a core collaborator in the software development lifecycle. You will build the infrastructure that allows AI to generate, maintain, and scale code, moving beyond simple tool integration to create a new paradigm for engineering.

What you'll do

• Create modular and extensible system frameworks designed for AI-native development.
• Develop platform primitives that support the dynamic generation of software modules.
• Engineer developer workflows that prioritize AI collaboration as a fundamental design element.
• Establish standards and patterns for AI-assisted engineering, including testing, observability, and code quality.
• Lead prototyping efforts across the full stack, including frontend, backend, and orchestration layers.
• Mentor engineering teams to foster an AI-first development culture.
• Collaborate with Product and AI teams to align system architecture with long-term technical goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in full stack system architecture and platform engineering.
• Proven ability to design distributed, composable, and extensible systems.
• Hands-on proficiency with frontend frameworks like React or Next.js.
• Experience with backend development using Node.js, Python, or Go, including microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Practical experience operationalizing AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Background in building plugin frameworks or developer platforms.
• Demonstrated history of technical leadership, including mentoring and setting architectural standards.
