Language Partner, Mandarin

About the role

This fully remote position seeks a bilingual Mandarin speaker to assist in expanding our business by collaborating with Territory Account Executives on opportunities that require Mandarin language support. The Language Partner will enhance customer experiences in markets with language barriers, focusing on converting leads into new clients through effective teamwork with Account Executives.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Collaborate with SMB Account Executives on sales opportunities needing language-specific assistance
• Participate in live discovery calls and product demonstrations in Mandarin
• Facilitate deal progression by clarifying communication and outlining next steps
• Review quotes and contracts, ensuring they are in the customer's preferred language
• Assist with onboarding processes when necessary
• Work closely with SMB Account Executives, Sales Leadership, and other cross-functional teams
• Utilize Mandarin for communication with customers and prospects, while English will be used for internal communication
• The application and interview process will primarily be conducted in English
• Note that Toast does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position

Requirements

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin is essential
• Previous experience in sales is preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• A mindset that embraces entrepreneurship and values feedback

Nice to have

• Experience in restaurant operations
• Familiarity with Salesforce for tracking sales activities
• Completion of Sandler Sales Training

• Toast offers competitive compensation and benefits to attract and retain top talent. The estimated Total Targeted Cash compensation for this role includes base salary, commission, and potential bonuses, with uncapped commissions available. The starting salary will depend on experience and location. The compensation ranges are as follows:
• Zone A: $119,000 - $190,000 USD
• Zone B: $104,000 - $166,000 USD
• Zone C: $94,000 - $149,000 USD
