Lead Systems Support Engineer

This position involves maintaining the stability and performance of complex application environments while leading a team toward operational excellence. You will act as a primary point of contact for clients, using your technical expertise to solve critical issues and drive strategic improvements.

What you'll do

• Navigate and debug intricate application systems to resolve business-critical incidents.
• Manage incident lifecycles using monitoring metrics, logging analysis, and reporting tools.
• Lead the planning and execution of maintenance, system migrations, and upgrades to minimize downtime.
• Apply continuous delivery and DevOps practices to improve software quality and deployment speed.
• Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge across the organization.
• Implement proactive issue identification and performance optimization strategies.
• Consult with clients on support processes, scope, and incident management protocols.
• Participate in a 24x7 rotation-based support schedule.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java or .Net development, plus scripting skills in Python or Powershell.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with monitoring platforms like DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience managing relational or non-relational databases.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Buildkite, or Azure Pipelines.
• Understanding of various system architectures including microservices, serverless, N-tier, and monolithic structures.
• Ability to work within Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
