Senior Infrastructure Engineer(GCP Cloud)

About the role

You will join a consultancy team to design and implement cloud-based systems that enable clients to deliver software effectively. This position involves working alongside diverse groups to build technical roadmaps, automate infrastructure, and advocate for DevOps principles. You will balance hands-on technical work with advisory responsibilities to help clients solve complex business challenges.

What you'll do

• Implement and evaluate infrastructure projects while driving improvements to existing systems.
• Collaborate with clients to define technical roadmaps and build solutions that meet business objectives.
• Develop controls and processes for continuous delivery and application evolution through automation.
• Provide expert guidance on cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering to internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering leadership to design technical strategies and navigate business constraints.
• Contribute to the growth of the internal cloud and infrastructure practice through collaboration with marketing and capability teams.

Requirements

• Proficiency in designing and deploying enterprise or web-scale hosting platforms using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience administering databases, web servers, and application servers.
• Understanding of DevOps philosophies, Agile methodologies, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, specifically Grafana.
• Background in cloud and virtualization platforms, including container clusters, serverless, physical servers, or virtual servers.
• Ability to write scripts in at least one language and configure Linux or Windows servers.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines across various technology stacks.
• Understanding of security practices, including secrets management, network security, and software supply chain protection.
• Advanced English communication skills for working with multinational teams.

• Experience with unit testing, automated testing, stress testing, and performance testing.
