Thoughtworks is seeking a Senior Developer to join our consultancy team to build custom software solutions for diverse clients. You will work alongside designers, analysts, and project managers to craft high-quality code while mentoring junior team members. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and the ability to foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment.

What you'll do

• Write clean, reusable code using test-driven development and design patterns.
• Implement continuous delivery practices to provide value to customers quickly.
• Build large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design features and interactive prototypes.
• Utilize DevSecOps practices to manage software deployment and security.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle from initial concept to production.
• Mentor less-experienced consultants through technical leadership and guidance.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Kotlin and Java.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Extreme Programming.
• Familiarity with test-driven development and continuous integration/continuous deployment tools.
• Ability to work on-site 3 days per week in either Raleigh or San Jose.
• A track record of contributing to the broader tech community via blogs, open source, or speaking.

Nice to have

• Practical knowledge of cloud technologies including AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
