What you'll do
- Promote and implement engineering best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, and design patterns.
- Represent Thoughtworks' technical expertise and thought leadership to clients and internally.
- Serve as a reliable technical consultant to clients by building relationships and understanding market trends.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and lead organizational changes.
- Evaluate client needs, develop account strategies, and create proposals to deliver value.
- Articulate the impact of our delivery in relation to client goals and initiatives.
- Ensure consistent value delivery through high-performing teams and proactive risk management with clients.
- Foster the growth of Thoughtworkers by encouraging feedback and cultivating an inclusive team environment.
- Guarantee compliance with security, privacy, and legal standards across accounts.
Requirements
- Proven history of managing the scope and structure of work programs.
- Experience with account management, third-party contracts, client relations, pre-sales activities, client reporting, and up-selling.
- Ability to lead meetings, prepare reports, offer technical sales support, and manage budgets.
- Willingness to assist delivery teams as needed.
- Knowledge of delivery methodologies including TDD, continuous integration, pairing, and infrastructure automation.
- Natural ability to build and maintain relationships with senior organizational leaders.
- Excellent capacity for context-switching.
- Thrives in situations with minimal direction, capable of leading, organizing, and delivering commitments on time and within budget.
- Resilient in ambiguous situations, able to adapt roles to address challenges from various angles, and skilled at managing risks.
- Empathetic, using this trait to build strong working relationships and resolve issues quickly and thoughtfully.
