About the role

Thinkingbox is hiring an intermediate Designer to join our Toronto office. You will focus on building brand identities and digital experiences while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of makers.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Produce visual assets for digital, brand, and experiential projects.
• Build and maintain brand guidelines and scalable design systems.
• Convert creative concepts and wireframes into high-fidelity visual outputs.
• Design user interfaces that prioritize both accessibility and usability.
• Present design rationale to internal teams and clients.
• Collaborate with developers, strategists, and producers to ensure project goals are met.
• Manage multiple design deliverables simultaneously to meet project deadlines.
• Document design processes and stay updated on industry trends.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional experience in digital, graphic, brand, or experiential design.
• Bachelor degree in Visual Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Portfolio showing work in visual systems, brand identity, and digital experiences.
• Knowledge of typography, composition, color theory, and layout.
• Experience with UI/UX principles and digital prototyping.
• Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
• Strong communication skills for presenting design concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience in motion design.
• Illustration skills.
• Previous work experience in a start-up environment.
