ServiceNow Senior Technical Consultant

About the role

This position is for a seasoned ServiceNow technical consultant. You will apply your platform expertise to deliver solutions, working directly with clients to understand their needs and guide development efforts. The role involves hands-on configuration and customization of core ServiceNow applications.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Translate client requirements into detailed user stories and development tasks.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow applications, including ITSM and CSM.
• Lead the design, enhancement, and delivery of scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Conduct workshops and demonstrations for various stakeholders and end-users.
• Perform integration work, building custom Service Portals and supporting REST, SOAP, and MID Server integrations.
• Develop, review, and optimize various ServiceNow scripts such as Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Client Scripts.
• Participate in client discussions to capture requirements and convert them into actionable development activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers within cross-functional teams.
• Actively participate in Agile sprints and backlog grooming sessions.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, including development and implementation.
• Strong understanding and expertise in ITSM, Service Portal, and Integrations.
• Experience with ITOM modules, specifically Discovery, CMDB, and Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
• Ability to customize ServiceNow applications using scripting, workflows, business rules, and UI policies.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven track record of successful customer interactions and project deliveries.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, or Certified Implementation Specialist certifications.
• Experience with additional ServiceNow modules like HRSD or GRC.
