QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Thinkahead is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to build and manage test frameworks for our Salesforce and web-based enterprise systems. You will focus on creating scalable automation solutions while integrating AI-driven tools to enhance testing productivity and coverage.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and Salesforce environments.
• Develop shared libraries and reusable components to ensure long-term framework stability.
• Incorporate AI-assisted tools to optimize test design and development workflows.
• Verify end-to-end business processes across integrated enterprise platforms.
• Coordinate with product and engineering teams to turn business requirements into automated test suites.
• Manage regression testing for critical workflows and integrate these tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee test data management and environment readiness to support reliable execution.
• Document test strategies, risks, and coverage metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 6 years of professional experience in enterprise-level QA automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for automation development.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end testing.
• Background in testing Salesforce platforms and integrated business workflows.
• Experience with API, integration, and regression testing.
• Ability to work effectively within Agile teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Salesforce Clouds and cross-application business logic.
• Familiarity with tools like Copado Robotic Testing, Provar, Tricentis Tosca, or Cypress.
• Skills in SQL querying and data validation.
• Exposure to containerized testing environments and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Practical experience with AI-powered coding or testing assistants.
• Knowledge of test coverage analysis and reporting metrics.
