What you'll do
- Assist the Sales team with daily account management activities, including processing orders, updating customer records, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Prepare and generate quotes, sales proposals, and timelines for customer projects, ensuring all information is accurate and delivered promptly.
- Manage customer inquiries via email, phone, or other communication channels, providing timely responses and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate sample requests, technical documents, product details, and other relevant information with internal departments such as R&D, Regulatory, and Operations to support customer needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for routine customer questions, order updates, and project status, fostering strong relationships and trust with clients.
- Assist in onboarding new customers by setting up accounts, providing necessary documentation, and explaining processes to ensure a seamless experience.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Planning, R&D, and Regulatory to ensure customer projects are executed on time and according to specifications.
- Support the preparation for customer meetings, business reviews, trade shows, and other commercial events by gathering relevant data, preparing presentations, and coordinating logistics.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies by providing feedback from customers and insights gathered during daily interactions.
- Track sales activities, maintain accurate records of customer interactions, and update CRM or other tracking systems as needed.
- Assist in generating reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and project statuses to support management decision-making.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on product offerings, company policies, and industry trends.
- Help identify opportunities for process improvements within the sales support functions to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
- Support other administrative tasks related to sales operations, including filing, data entry, and document management.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Science, Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in sales support, account coordination, customer service, or a similar role is acceptable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
- Customer-focused attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and customer needs.
- Basic understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management tools is a plus but not required.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in the beauty, personal care, consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, or B2B sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with technical documentation, product specifications, and sample coordination.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations or compliance standards, such as ITAR, is a plus.
- Experience supporting sales or marketing teams in a corporate environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technical teams and external clients.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and customer satisfaction enhancements.

Practical notes
- The annual salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
- The role is based at 50 Clearview Road, Edison, New Jersey, and requires on-site presence.
