The Ecommerce Manager Japan position places you at the center of digital commerce for the Japanese market. Your primary mission is to own the end-to-end performance of Japan's digital trading environment and the customer journey. You will transform high-level ecommerce strategy into tangible, measurable growth. Daily decisions directly influence conversion rates, revenue streams, and the overall customer experience. This is a role for a strategic operator who thrives on data-driven execution.
Key Responsibilities
You will establish and manage Japan's ecommerce growth targets, taking full ownership of the outcomes. This involves developing and implementing a comprehensive ecommerce growth strategy tailored specifically for the Japanese market. Your focus will extend to driving revenue growth, optimizing conversion rates, and spearheading customer acquisition initiatives. Identifying new commercial opportunities will be essential to elevate online sales performance continuously.
A significant portion of your role will center on website trading and merchandising. You will manage the day-to-day trading performance across THG's Japanese ecommerce platform. Collaboration forms a vital part of this position. You will strengthen partnerships with internal marketing and commercial teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and commercial goals. You will coordinate actively with logistics partners to enhance fulfillment processes and boost customer satisfaction. Partnering with suppliers will help align product assortment and availability with market demand. Finally, you will champion and propagate best practices across THG's extensive beauty and nutrition portfolios, ensuring consistency and excellence.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must bring three to five years of experience managing ecommerce operations within a comparable market. A proven track record in this area is essential. You must demonstrate deep, practical knowledge of online trading principles and performance metrics. This expertise will inform every decision you make.
The ability to work independently is crucial, as is the skill in coordinating cross-functional teams effectively. You will manage multiple priorities and stakeholders with minimal direct supervision.
