About the role
The Institute for Organizational Excellence is seeking a developer to build and maintain information systems that support research operations. You will manage the technical bridge between data infrastructure and project goals by developing web applications and ensuring system reliability.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect, build, and manage databases and web-based information systems.
- Update legacy code to meet modern standards.
- Create technical documentation and user guides while providing training to internal and external clients.
- Maintain system infrastructure and ensure data integrity.
- Build reporting tools to extract and present research data.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in programming, systems analysis, and design.
- Proficiency with PHP, Unix web hosting, and Unix command lines.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks including AngularJS, jQuery, Node.js, Bootstrap, HTML, and CodeIgniter.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Bachelor degree in computer science or a related field.
- Familiarity with A11y, Docker, RESTful APIs, SMTP, Object Oriented Programming, Tableau, and Python.
Skills & tools
- PHP, Unix, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, Node.js, Bootstrap, HTML, CodeIgniter.
Practical notes
- This is a grant-funded position with a hybrid work schedule.
- Work hours are flexible between 8am and 6pm, Monday through Friday.
