About the role
Join our team to manage the assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) for our Nyx-e cargo capsule projects. You will oversee AIT processes, lead a team, and ensure project schedules are met for our reusable orbital vehicle. This role involves continuous improvement and collaboration with various internal and external groups.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead and execute AIT activities for the Nyx cargo capsule, guiding engineers and technicians.
- Manage the budget for resources and personnel dedicated to Nyx-e delivery.
- Collaborate with design and program teams to optimize designs for efficient integration and testing.
- Develop and maintain AIT plans, defining sequences and procedures with expert support.
- Resolve anomalies that arise during integration and testing phases.
- Prepare and submit reports following operations and tests.
- Provide feedback on AIT blockages and propose solutions or improvements.
- Ensure ground support equipment (GSE) design and procurement align with operational needs.
- Assist in acquiring necessary AIT equipment, including commercial off-the-shelf items and generic GSE.
- Support the hiring of engineers and technicians for AIT operations.
- Conduct risk assessments for AIT activities and manage Test Readiness Reviews and reports.
- Contribute to establishing the AIT team and integration facility in Munich.
Requirements
- Advanced engineering degree (Master or PhD).
- 10+ years of experience in the aerospace sector, specifically in late-stage project execution.
- 10+ years of experience in aerospace vehicle AIT.
- Organized and meticulous work approach.
- Practical, hands-on work style.
- Creative problem-solver with a collaborative team spirit.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Strong capacity for organizing and prioritizing tasks.
- Positive and adaptable attitude to achieve objectives.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
