About the role
The AI Platform Integration team is hiring an engineer to build safety-critical systems for AI-driven vehicle technologies. You will develop frameworks and software that ensure reliability for autonomous driving and real-time decision-making systems.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and AI teams to define integration strategies and architectural trade-offs for compute, sensing, and actuation layers.
- Conduct Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEAs), and define safety requirements.
- Validate safety assumptions using fleet data, simulation, and SIL/HIL testing.
- Write safety-critical software, specifically focusing on fault detection and monitoring for AI platforms.
- Manage design and integration milestones from initial concept through production deployment.
- Create validation plans and test cases for AI systems in both simulation and vehicle environments.
Requirements
- Background in designing safety-critical systems, specifically within autonomous or AI contexts.
- Practical knowledge of automotive safety standards like ISO 26262.
- Experience with safety analysis tools, including HARA, FMEA, or Fault Tree Analysis.
- Technical proficiency in AI system integration, real-time software development, embedded systems, or vehicle control.
- Experience validating safety-critical software for machine learning or AI applications.
- Background in designing systems that require high availability and strict safety compliance.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in agentic workflows, such as real-time processing or machine learning frameworks.
- Programming experience in Python or C++.
