About the role
Tenstorrent is seeking a Staff Reliability Engineer to guide the reliability approach for upcoming AI computing systems. This role involves technical leadership, overseeing reliability from initial design to final production. You will work with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure high-performance AI platforms meet top standards for uptime and quality.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Establish the reliability plan for future AI computing systems, covering both data center and workstation products.
- Lead investigations into product failures and implement solutions across engineering and the supply chain.
- Serve as the main contact for manufacturing partners and suppliers, ensuring reliability standards are met during new product introduction.
- Mentor other engineers and conduct design reviews to improve team standards.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably with high-performance computing, AI hardware, or data center systems.
- Familiarity with statistical methods for reliability, including HALT, HASS, ALT, MTBF, Weibull analysis, and FMEA.
- Ability to conduct thermal lab work and communicate technical risks and trade-offs to leadership.
- Proven ability to coordinate diverse teams (mechanical, electrical, thermal, software) under tight deadlines.
- Practical experience validating advanced cooling systems, such as vapor chambers, heat pipes, and direct-to-chip liquid cooling.
