Key facts
What you'll do
- Define and maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and develop multi-sourcing strategies for next-generation AI compute systems.
- Collaborate with hardware, supply chain, and procurement teams to select components based on performance, cost efficiency, availability, and long-term scalability.
- Monitor component lifecycle changes, market trends, lead times, and supplier health to proactively mitigate risks and inform design decisions.
- Identify cost savings, improve sourcing strategies, and manage product lifecycle transitions to optimize cost and supply.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in component engineering, hardware engineering, or supply chain roles within computing, networking, or complex electronic systems.
- Degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of electronic components such as semiconductors, memory, power, passives, and connectors, considering both technical performance and real-world availability.
- Ability to manage tradeoffs between cost, performance, and supply risk, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to find solutions.
