Requirements

Reporting experience at the entry level up to one year is preferred for this multi-skilled role. Solid news judgment pairs with strong communication, creativity, and ethical decision-making for community trust. Writing, production, and tease writing abilities remain strong and must be demonstrable in fast environments. ENPS, EDIUS, and Axis graphics experience are preferred to integrate smoothly with existing workflows. Organization supports consistent performance under constant deadline pressure in a live setting. Calm handling of live breaking news and shifting events protects accuracy and viewer safety. Proven ability creates and distributes social and digital content to engage local audiences. Knowledge of Temple is a plus to navigate local sources, locations, and community context quickly.

Practical notes

A current driver's license is required to operate news-gathering vehicles for field reporting. Onsite presence supports collaboration with the Temple newsroom and partner stations. for the most current application instructions.
