Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Taboola.
About the role
Join our R&D Infrastructure team in Tel Aviv to manage and scale complex hybrid environments. You will focus on optimizing Linux systems, automating operational tasks, and maintaining performance across our global advertising platform.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Maintain high availability and cost efficiency across on-premise, public cloud, and AI/ML Kubernetes clusters.
- Develop internal tools and manage Infrastructure as Code pipelines using Go, Python, or Rust.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for performance issues ranging from CDN edge configurations to Linux kernel and network layers.
- Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems to proactively address health concerns.
- Manage incident response and lead blameless post-mortems to improve system resilience.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in troubleshooting, managing, and scaling large distributed Linux production environments.
- Proficiency in Linux internals and networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and gRPC.
- Experience with edge or CDN services such as Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai, or CloudFront.
- Practical knowledge of orchestration and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
- Experience managing containerized production workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Programming proficiency in at least one of these languages: Go, Python, or Rust.
Nice to have
- Designing and operating telemetry, logging, and alerting stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Background in cloud and on-premise resource optimization and cost management.
