Release Engineering Intern at Taboola.
About the role
Join our Tel Aviv office to modernize software delivery systems for our global R&D group. You will help transition our infrastructure to an agent-ready CI/CD platform while contributing to an internal AI-driven application building tool. This role supports over 600 engineers managing more than 1,300 modules and 500 service types.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Enhance automation for continuous integration, testing, packaging, and deployment processes.
- Migrate hundreds of modules from Maven to Bazel to accelerate development cycles.
- Develop reusable pipeline libraries and self-service automation tools for human engineers and AI coding agents.
- Analyze CI/CD metrics to pinpoint and resolve build bottlenecks and high-cost workflows.
- Troubleshoot issues with Jenkins agents, artifacts, and containers, implementing automated resolutions for recurring problems.
- Maintain documentation, testing, and monitoring for release workflows.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a B.Sc. program for Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience working within Linux environments and using git.
- Understanding of software builds, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or infrastructure automation.
- Ability to automate repetitive tasks and troubleshoot technical failures.
- Experience using AI coding agents, including verifying output, managing context limits, and handling token usage.
Nice to have
- Experience maintaining shared CI/CD pipelines for multiple teams or services.
- Background in production infrastructure, DevOps, or developer tooling from industry roles or open-source projects.
Skills & tools
