Data Analyst, Algorithms at Taboola.
About the role
Join the Algorithms team in Tel Aviv to refine and evolve our performance advertising technology. You will interpret complex, large-scale datasets to influence product direction and optimize algorithmic performance.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Extract actionable insights from massive datasets to guide algorithm improvements and business strategy.
- Create and maintain KPIs to measure the success of products and algorithms.
- Build analytical tools using Python notebooks and Grafana.
- Conduct deep statistical research to address unique, complex technical problems.
- Manage a portfolio of data projects, balancing ongoing tasks with ad-hoc requests.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, data science, product analysis, or quantitative research, including academic work.
- Proficiency in Python, specifically with LLM-assisted coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
- Advanced SQL skills, ideally with experience in Google BigQuery.
- Strong foundation in statistical modeling and practical experience with A/B testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with machine learning principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively in English.
Nice to have
- Background in Computer Science or software engineering.
- Experience with BI platforms such as Qlik or Tableau.
- Ability to translate academic data science literature into functional research or products.
