About the role
Taboola is seeking a Controller to join our US Finance team based in Santa Monica. You will lead accounting operations, refine financial reporting processes, and ensure strict adherence to internal controls while supporting our corporate strategy.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations for the US and Canada, including oversight of AP, payroll, and T&E for the company and its subsidiaries.
- Direct the monthly financial close to guarantee accurate and timely data disclosure.
- Analyze monthly budget versus actual variances and improve closing workflows.
- Serve as the primary contact for year-end audits and tax filings with external partners.
- Manage and maintain SOX compliance protocols and departmental policies.
- Mentor a team of 6 employees, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, HR, and IT departments to support company growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- At least 4 years of experience managing people, specifically leading teams of 3 or more.
- Proficiency in US GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Experience managing multi-entity and multi-currency accounting.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- CPA or equivalent professional certification.
- Background in public companies or public accounting firms.
- Experience working within the adtech, tech, or digital media sectors.
- Familiarity with NetSuite, ADP, or Salesforce.
