Software Reliability Engineer at T-Mobile.
About the role
This role focuses on maintaining the availability, scalability, and performance of IT systems within the Subscription Product Engineering organization. You will manage internal subscription and customer lifecycle platforms by implementing automation, monitoring, and reliability practices across production and non-production environments.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and configuration using DevOps automation tools.
- Provision servers and manage infrastructure to ensure scalability.
- Build and maintain dashboards, logging standards, and health checks to monitor service quality.
- Support cloud-native applications, microservices, and APIs.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Assist with operational readiness, including capacity planning and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to improve resiliency and deployment automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Experience with DevOps practices and integration.
- Proficiency in monitoring, observability, and operational support.
Nice to have
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in Agile environments.
- Programming skills in C, C#, Java, Perl, Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Cloudbees.
- Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration via Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud environments and cloud-native migrations.
- Knowledge of monitoring and APM tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Prometheus.
