About the role

System One is hiring an AI Prompt Engineer to support the EDOS program at the Internal Revenue Service. This position focuses on replacing outdated tax processing infrastructure with modern AI solutions to improve taxpayer services and operational efficiency.

What you'll do

• Direct the creation and refinement of prompt engineering methods.
• Build and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation frameworks.
• Create AI software using Python and cloud-based platforms.
• Oversee the delivery of AI projects and provide technical support.
• Partner with internal groups to incorporate AI tools into existing workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
• US Citizenship.
• Active IRS MBI Clearance with current GFE.
• Practical knowledge of Azure OpenAI and AWS.
• Proficiency in Python for AI application development.
• Expertise in prompt engineering and RAG frameworks.
• Background in leading complex AI and machine learning projects.
• Ability to manage projects using Agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Large Language Models.
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud.
• Advanced Python programming capabilities.
