Software Engineer - AI Solutions

About the role

Coactive AI is seeking a founding member for its Solutions team to bridge the gap between engineering and customer-facing operations. You will act as the primary technical authority for the Go-To-Market team, ensuring clients successfully implement and derive value from our visual data platform.

What you'll do

• Serve as a product evangelist and resident AI technical mentor for the Go-To-Market organization.
• Provide technical guidance to sales and customer success teams while relaying field feedback to product and engineering.
• Design and deliver AI-focused technical solutions for prospects and existing customers.
• Manage Proof-of-Value engagements and lead technical integrations.
• Establish documentation and operational processes to improve team collaboration.
• Participate in occasional travel for industry conferences and client site visits.
• Contribute to the development of company culture and internal best practices.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 3 years of production-level experience using Python and SQL.
• Proficiency with modern AI frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, MLflow, Spark, and Ray.
• Experience in rapid prototyping and deploying AI solutions using open-source models, API services, and cloud tools like Databricks, Colab, or Sagemaker.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences during demos and meetings.
• Capability to provide technical mentorship to sales engineers, solutions engineers, and account executives.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, or ML consulting.
• Previous work history in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Background in ML/AI-focused engineering roles.
• Experience applying machine learning to visual or multimodal data.
