About the role

Coactive AI creates tools to help organizations search, filter, and analyze unstructured visual data. You will join a team backed by Andreesen Horowitz and Bessemer Ventures to build production-ready machine learning systems that transform how businesses handle image and video content.

What you'll do

• Research market trends to find new technological advantages for the company.
• Support internal knowledge sharing and mentor other team members.
• Provide technical guidance to cross-functional departments.
• Work directly with clients to design and implement custom machine learning solutions.
• Lead experiments and develop new features for company products.
• Build, test, and deploy machine learning models into production environments alongside software engineers.
• Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights.
• Design and execute A/B tests and perform statistical validation.
• Create automated pipelines for model development, validation, and serving.
• Communicate findings to leadership and present work at scientific conferences.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a research lab or startup setting.
• A history of peer-reviewed publications in machine learning journals or conferences.
• Experience building applications using recent research developments.
• Proficiency in Python, Pytorch, Spark, Numpy, Scipy, and Scikit-Learn.

• Familiarity with vector databases and their application in machine learning workflows.
