Video Content Creator

About the role

Superside is seeking a hands-on creator based in Cape Town to produce high-performing social video content. This role requires someone comfortable on camera who can manage the full lifecycle of a project, from initial concept and storyboarding to filming and final editing.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Appear on camera for UGC-style ads, skits, explainers, and direct-to-camera social content.
• Deconstruct current trends and ad performance across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram to inform new concepts.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Video Lead to execute shoots in the studio and on location.
• Draft scripts, hooks, and storyboards for upcoming campaigns.
• Edit footage using Premiere Pro with a focus on pacing, sound design, and platform-native formatting.
• Integrate AI tools into the creative workflow to improve speed and experimentation.
• Support production tasks including lighting, audio setup, and prop management.

Requirements

• Residency in Cape Town with the ability to work from the local studio.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in content creation, video editing, or creative production.
• Portfolio demonstrating on-camera performance and social-first video production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for editing and sound design.
• Ability to use Figma for storyboarding and visual planning.
• Understanding of B2B marketing, SaaS, and paid social performance metrics.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to generate ideas independently.

Nice to have

• Prior experience creating content for B2B, agencies, or creative service brands.
• Technical skills in lighting, audio, and camera operation.
• Proficiency in After Effects or motion graphics.
• Experience with AI-assisted video production workflows.
