About the role

Superside is looking for an Associate Director to manage the operational output of several business units and their internal studios. You will guide a team of operations professionals to ensure creative workflows remain efficient and scalable.

What you'll do

• Manage and mentor a team of Studio Operations staff to maintain high performance and accountability.
• Oversee workforce planning, including staffing levels, capacity management, and utilization rates across business units.
• Refine studio workflows and operational standards to increase efficiency.
• Track studio health using performance metrics, forecasting, and workload distribution data.
• Serve as the primary contact for resolving complex delivery, staffing, and workflow issues.
• Collaborate with project managers, creative leads, and account teams to refine execution.
• Assist in pre-sales by designing staffing models that match client requirements.
• Coordinate with finance, product, and sales departments to align on operational goals.
• Use data analysis to spot trends and guide business strategy.
• Establish governance and best practices to ensure consistency across the organization.

Requirements

• Extensive background in operations, resource management, or delivery leadership within a professional services, agency, or consulting setting.
• Deep knowledge of utilization management, capacity planning, and operational performance tracking.
• Demonstrated success in managing and growing high-performing teams.
• Ability to manage stakeholders across various business functions.
• Analytical skills to translate operational data into actionable business decisions.
• Capacity to balance client demands with internal team constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment regarding operational issues.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in designing scalable processes and managing organizational change.
