Superhuman is developing an AI productivity platform designed to assist millions of users across various applications. This role focuses on the back-end systems that power AI agents, real-time infrastructure, and enterprise-grade deployment tools.

What you'll do

• Develop and manage high-volume production services for AI agent orchestration and data pipelines.
• Architect core platform components, including task schedulers, session history trackers, and communication protocols.
• Implement APIs that bridge the AI engine with products like Go, Mail, and Docs.
• Partner with product, front-end, and machine learning teams to deploy AI features.
• Maintain infrastructure as code with a focus on system reliability and high availability.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineering staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional back-end engineering experience.
• Proficiency in system design, data structures, and algorithmic problem solving.
• Practical experience deploying and troubleshooting large-scale production environments.
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with AI-driven development tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices.
• Ability to balance technical trade-offs between speed and system stability.

Nice to have

• Prior background in building back-end services specifically for AI products.
• Experience designing event-driven architectures or real-time systems.
• Familiarity with high-throughput API design.

Practical notes

Compensation ranges from $163,500 to $284,000 depending on location and experience.
