Join Supabase, the Postgres development platform, as a Support Engineer. You will be instrumental in providing exceptional developer assistance, helping users navigate and optimize their use of our comprehensive backend services. This role is crucial for ensuring our global community receives timely and effective technical guidance.

What you'll do
Respond promptly to all incoming support inquiries, covering a wide range of topics from initial sales questions to advanced technical implementation and performance tuning.
Analyze and categorize support requests, guiding users to relevant documentation, existing solutions, or escalating to specialized internal teams when necessary.
Actively monitor various feedback channels, including GitHub Issues and Discussions, to identify and address user concerns.
Propose and contribute to the development of internal tools that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the support process.
Investigate reported issues, develop test cases, and contribute to improving test coverage where applicable.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years in providing technical support to developers.
Strong command of SQL, with a preference for PostgreSQL, including the ability to construct and understand complex queries.
Excellent command of the English language for clear and effective communication.
Proficiency in using Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line interfaces.
Experience working with GitHub Issues and Discussions.
Nice to have
Familiarity with popular JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, and Svelte.
Experience with Node.js development.
A degree in Computer Science.
Database administration experience.

This is a full-time position requiring 4 10-hour shifts per week, covering weekends within EMEA business hours (08:00-18:00 UTC).
Candidates should ideally be located within European, African, or Middle Eastern timezones to align with the specified shift.
The role covers Friday through Monday based on the UTC schedule, which may vary slightly depending on your local timezone.
