This role focuses on managing the financial infrastructure that powers global payment processing. You will bridge the gap between engineering systems and financial partnerships to ensure accurate cost modeling and operational efficiency.

What you'll do
- Analyze massive transaction volumes across the platform by working with engineering, accounting, and product departments.
- Convert intricate network fee specifications into billing logic for interchange and scheme fees.
- Guide product strategy to reduce underlying network expenses.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to execute cost saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with finance to explain cost trends and prioritize investment areas.
- Validate fee accuracy through monitoring and automated alerting systems.
- Explain complex fee structures to internal and external partners.
- Lead training sessions to improve internal knowledge of payment systems.
- Automate manual operational workflows to increase process speed.
- Document and design scalable operational processes for partner management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the payments industry at a major technology or payments firm.
- Proficiency in writing SQL for relational database queries.
- Proven ability to manage workflows and communications with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring junior staff on operational strategy, problem solving, and technical skills.
- Background in navigating complex financial systems to resolve large scale technical problems.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities to identify root causes and prioritize issues.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while using metrics to track impact and triage technical challenges.
