What you'll do
- Create, develop, maintain, and support APIs, backend services, and distributed systems using various programming languages.
- Construct, test, deploy, and maintain software infrastructure for large-scale production systems.
- Design software systems using analytical and mathematical methods to assess performance and design trade-offs.
- Develop and execute software testing, validation, debugging, and documentation to ensure system reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues across multiple services and technology layers.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine technical feasibility and implementation timelines.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to design and implement new features for large-scale systems.
- Design and build systems for secure storage, management, and modification of production data and services.
- Improve engineering standards, development tools, and software development processes to enhance system quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of professional software development experience.
- 2 years of experience developing software applications.
- 2 years of experience with programming languages such as Ruby, Java, Scala, or Go.
- 2 years of experience building backend or full-stack applications for large-scale systems.
- 2 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and distributed systems in a production environment.
- 2 years of experience writing unit tests and performing manual testing for software changes.
- 2 years of experience implementing industry-standard software design patterns, including distributed systems, event-driven architecture, fault-tolerant systems, and cost-effective engineering.

Practical notes
- Salary range: $156,800.00 - $235,200.00 per year. This is the base salary range; additional compensation like equity, company bonuses, or sales commissions may be offered.
- 50% telecommuting is permitted for this role.
