About the role
Stripe is seeking a Tier 1 Support Engineer to join the MXC CorpTech Services team in Dublin. This role focuses on providing direct, in-person technical assistance to employees and managing the hardware and software systems that keep the company running.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Resolve technical issues regarding hardware, software, and computer systems via in-person support, Slack, email, and ticketing platforms.
- Manage the physical setup of workstations and perform audits of office peripherals.
- Execute diagnostic routines to identify and fix technical problems, including basic troubleshooting of scripts and automation.
- Maintain and support SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Provision laptops for new hires and manage fleet upgrades.
- Oversee IT asset management and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Support office-wide technology including printers, room schedulers, and Zoom Rooms.
- Create and update technical documentation for both internal teams and general staff.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
- Assist with the onboarding and training of new employees and contractors.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT HelpDesk role.
- Proficiency with Apple hardware and software.
- Experience managing Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Ability to troubleshoot and execute scripts in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with endpoint management and imaging tools like JAMF, Munki, Chef, or DEP.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage project priorities.
