About the role
This role centers on leading the engineering team responsible for Stripe Atlas and related tools designed for global founders. You will guide engineers in creating software that simplifies the process of launching and managing new companies.

What you'll do
- Mentor and grow a team of product-focused engineers.
- Partner with product and strategy leads to define and execute the roadmap for Atlas users.
- Manage the delivery process to ensure code is shipped with high stability and observability.
- Guide the team toward straightforward, incremental technical solutions.
- Connect engineers directly with startup founders to ensure product development aligns with user needs.
- Establish and maintain a data-driven culture focused on measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering management.
- Minimum 10 years of total engineering experience.
- Proven history of leading teams that produce high-quality software.
- Experience managing full stack engineering teams.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, legal teams, and data scientists.
- Strong focus on user experience and attention to detail.
- Preference for building simple, scalable systems.
Nice to have
- Previous experience working in a startup environment.
- Proficiency with Ruby, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and SQL.
