About the role
Strescon Limited is seeking an Intermediate Estimator to join our team in Saint John. You will contribute to our operations as the largest manufacturer of precast and pre-stressed concrete in Eastern Canada. This role focuses on supporting our production of architectural and structural components for markets across the Atlantic Provinces, New England, and Bermuda.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Collaborate with the estimating department on project bids and proposals
- Analyze project specifications to determine material and labor requirements for precast concrete products
- Prepare cost estimates for structural and architectural components including bridge girders, wall panels, and parking garage systems
- Evaluate project documentation for drainage products such as manholes, pipe, and catch basins
Requirements
- Proven experience in an estimating capacity within the construction or manufacturing industry
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Proficiency in calculating material quantities and project costs
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously
