In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning effects that enhance the storytelling and visual experience of our projects. As a VFX Artist, you will collaborate closely with other artists and technical teams to develop high-quality visual effects that meet the artistic vision of our projects. What you'll do

• Design and create high-quality visual effects for various projects, including animations, video games, and films.
• Collaborate with the art and animation teams to ensure that visual effects align with the overall artistic direction of the project.
• Utilize industry-standard software and tools to develop and implement effects that enhance the visual narrative.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for visual effects that push the boundaries of creativity.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a VFX Artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in visual effects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Houdini, Maya, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of particle systems, simulations, and compositing techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with other artists and technical staff.
• Solid knowledge of color theory, lighting, and composition as they relate to visual effects.
• Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually compelling effects.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques and tools as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience in 3D modeling and animation is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or MEL for automating tasks in visual effects.
• Previous experience working in a freelance capacity or in a remote team environment.
• Knowledge of VR/AR technologies and their application in visual effects.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)
• Familiar with 3D software such as Maya, Blender, or Cinema 4D
• Experience with compositing tools like Nuke or Fusion
• Understanding of rendering engines and their optimization
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
