What you'll do

• Develop and produce 3D animations for various projects, including video games, commercials, and other multimedia content.
• Collaborate with the art and design teams to ensure animations are consistent with the overall artistic direction and style of the project.
• Create character animations that convey personality and emotion, enhancing the storytelling aspect of the projects.
• Work with rigging artists to ensure that character models are properly rigged for animation, addressing any technical issues that may arise.
• Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create smooth and visually appealing animations that meet project deadlines.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute creative ideas and solutions for animation challenges.
• Revise and refine animations based on feedback from team members and clients, ensuring that the final product meets quality standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in animation techniques, integrating new methods into your work when appropriate.
• Assist in the creation of animation tests and prototypes to demonstrate concepts and ideas to the team.
• Document your animation processes and techniques to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborate with sound designers to synchronize audio elements with animations, enhancing the overall user experience.
• Provide support in the post-production phase, ensuring that animations are seamlessly integrated into the final product.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a 3D Animator, with a strong portfolio showcasing your animation skills and completed projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard animation software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of animation principles, including timing, weight, and movement.
• Experience with character rigging and skinning techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide constructive feedback.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating high-quality animations that engage audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in game development, particularly with Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Familiarity with motion capture techniques and software.
• Knowledge of 2D animation principles and the ability to create hybrid animations.
• Previous experience working in a freelance capacity or in a remote team environment.
• Understanding of visual storytelling and how animation contributes to narrative development.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Autodesk Maya, Blender, or similar 3D animation software.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of animation principles and techniques.
• Experience with character rigging and skinning.
• Knowledge of game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
