VP of Publisher Partnerships at Stacker
About the role
This role is for a strategic leader to oversee and expand Stacker's network of over 3,000 publishers. You will shape the long-term vision for this ecosystem, focusing on its growth and health.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Take ownership of the publisher network's strategic direction and expansion.
- Evaluate and enhance the current partnership strategy, team structure, processes, and performance.
- Explore and implement new distribution channels, including email newsletters, creator platforms, and AI-driven search integrations.
- Develop and execute a plan for identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new publisher partners.
- Refine the process for engaging, onboarding, and supporting media partners to ensure mutual value.
- Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers across various publishing segments.
- Lead a team focused on ensuring publisher partners achieve their content and business objectives.
- Define and monitor key metrics for the health of the publisher ecosystem.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or publisher strategy.
- Demonstrated success in building and growing partner networks, particularly within publishing, platforms, or marketplaces.
- Experience in managing and developing teams.
- A solid understanding of publisher business models and operational workflows.
- Proficiency in negotiating partnership agreements and navigating legal and compliance considerations.
- Ability to function effectively as both a leader and an individual contributor.
- An analytical approach to decision-making and ecosystem management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience in identifying and closing new publisher deals.
- A track record of expanding beyond traditional partner bases to launch new networks.
- Familiarity with developing go-to-market plans for diverse publisher segments.
